Vaccinated vs. Vaccine Accepting
Shows Percentage of population who have received at least one vaccine vs. Percentage of population who indicated they would accept the vaccine. The percentage vaccinated is calculated by dividing the total number vaccinated (VDH COVID-19 PublicUseDataset) from the population eligible for vaccination (people 12 and up) and does not include out-of-state residents. The percentage who would accept the vaccine is based on survey results from Carnegie Mellon University’s Delphi Group; more information on this is available at the Delphi Group (2021) COVID Symptom Survey
Vaccination by Doses
This report shows the percentage of Virginians who have received the vaccine by the number of doses received. The percentage calculated by dose is based on the number of people who have received each dose of the vaccine (first, second, etc.) from the VDH COVID-19 PublicUseDataset (link: https://data.virginia.gov/Government/VDH-COVID-19-PublicUseDataset-Vaccines-DosesAdmini/28k2-x2rj) divided by the total population by health district.
Vaccinated vs Recent Infections by Virginia Localities
Plots cities and counties based on their COVID-19 vaccination rates and recent case counts. Vaccination rates are calculated from data provided by VDH COVID-19 PublicUseDataset, and case counts are derived from the COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard
Vaccinated vs Recent Infections by State
Plots US States based on their COVID-19 vaccination rates and recent case counts. Vaccination rates are calculated from data provided by the CDC, and case counts are derived from the COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard
Vaccine Administration by Vaccine Type
Vaccines administered by Vaccine Type (Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson). Data provided by VDH COVID-19 PublicUseDataset.
Vax Signal
We predict vaccine uptake based on measured vaccine hesitancy. We incorporate data from Google search trends, COVIDCast and the CDC’s Household Pulse Survey as measures of vaccine hesitancy across Virginia. Predictions are for the week ending on the date noted. For example, the predictions for August 16 were predicted on August 2. Those predictions should be interpreted as a prediction of the number of new vaccinations that will occur between August 9 and August 16.
Vaccination by Age Group
Shows percentage of Virginia’s population by age group who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The percentage vaccinated is calculated by dividing the total number vaccinated by age group (VDH COVID-19 PublicUseDataset) by the total number of people in each age group in Virginia. The percentage who would accept the vaccine is based on COVIDcast survey results from Carnegie Mellon University’s Delphi Group; more information on this is available at the Delphi Group (2021) COVID Symptom Survey. Note that the COVIDcast survey only polls individuals aged 18 and older.
